Life has been blown by the violent wind,

and grown its roots in another land.

How wonderful the resolution,

after days of consideration,

that one should find solace in the manifolds of concrete.

Thus have I secured a humble abode among the many cells of concrete.

And called this isolated place "home."

It was, I'd like to think, won after a barrage of stressful months,

and placed like a crown upon a towering building.

Where is it, you ask? It is effectively nowhere,

for it would be to laborious to describe its whereabouts.

In it I have my true private sphere,

unassailable by common people who are scrupulous to enslave me,

unreachable by people who have nothing to do but regurgitate their folly and short-circuited logic,

not welcome to business people, who are no different from shamans in that they wish to aggressively become the signifier for God.

After descending down the vertical tunnel and walking out to meet the bright of day,

rows after rows of restaurants greet you and beckon to you with their tantalizing aromas.

The streets are such as to provide a convenient path towards the nearest convenient store,

and inconvenient enough to deter cars from trespassing into a place made for quiet living.

To stroll through the twists and turns and forks and convergences of the labryinth-esque alleyways

is the envy of many who venture long distances in the evening to arrive at ground-zero for shopping.

It reminds me of my days of living near NTU, only cheaper and more relaxed.

It reminds me of my days of living in Taichung, only more convenient and varied.

A violin store is just nearby, should I finally muster the courage to express my love.

Bookstores abound, and I shall take the time to talk with many souls through the pages.

Small cafes flirt at me with their Wi-fi, music and AC. Should I need a place to labor, I will labor in their embrace.

And most importantly, carriages of steel, electricity and oil are where I want them to be,

ready to take me on adventures, on missions, on visits, into the known and unknown.
